Hi everybody. I don’t know about you, but 2026 started rough! Things are going alright though, but with February being the shortest month, I took the decision to forego 1 sketch page this month in hopes it’ll help me finish all my commission work on time, and script work is also paused for now. I should get back to those in March, once I get more breathing room. Stay warm and be sure to get a bunch of discount chocolate after valentine day!

2025 was a doozy, but we pulled through. I finally got the island map completed, we got some really nice chapters sketched, and a lot of amazing fvt-related commissions were made or are in the works. The battle plan for 2026 is to do some work on the website to add a minicomic section and flourish my commission page to add a gallery with the non-fvt content in it. After some of that is out of the way, I would like to restart the work on the Definitive edition, but that will likely be in the second half of 2026, and I will use a similar workflow to the island map last October, which mean a little bit every day, until completion, so don’t expect weekly bonus pages, especially on this budget, but the work will finally move forward again. I also need to get some serious scripting done. I would like to conclude the main story arc, at last. Once that is done in script I would finally be able to put a goalpost for the comic rather than being vague about it. But we’ll see how this year shapes up.

FvT Best of 2025
Hello everyone, Sokaras here. The first month of the new year is over, time to show of which pages have been voted best each month in 2025 (polls held on FvT Discord).
First and foremost, while this month is busy with the usual holidays, it’s also where my birthday is located, and for those who’ve been here for a bit, it’s my tradition to take it a bit easier during this month. Therefore there will be no update on December 8th, and December 22th, thank you for your understanding.
Secondly, I’m happy to report the color island map will be ready for January! lineart is completed, I just have to do some coloring, fixing and embellishing. Finally, after all this time, it will be complete. There’s always potential to add to it or adjust things in the future, but that’s for later. After the map is done, I plan to take a small break, and will eventually resume working on the definitive edition using the same workflow as the map, doing little by little rather than trying to save a big chunk of time and it never happening. Hopefully it will work as well for the comic as it did for the map, it’s a different format after all.

Hi everyone, so a few news today; While fvt’s direct funding has been slightly decreasing over time, commission funding has been going way, way up, and some of it involve fvt, in terms of random pictures, minicomic project, character sheets, lore exploration and so forth, so I would say the project overall is still very healthy, there’s just been a change in the focus of the spending. So I want to make this clear, while I might increase my commission prices in the future to match inflation and other economical issues, FvT’s funding goals will probably stay the same forever. At this point the project has a certain legacy and influence that goes beyond the next Monday page, and I should probably see it as a marketing expenditure rather than my monthly livelihood. Of course it would be nice if we got more direct funding in the future to pay for more pages/week, but I will simply not worry about it. I’m setting dedicated tasks to the script to push that part of the story to full completion, followed by the sketch pages, and the color pages will catch up whenever they want!
Other bits of news, I’ve also dedicated a little bit of time every day to work on the Island map, rather than foolishly hoping to have time to spend 10 straight hours on it, and it showed serious progress. The map should be completed before 2026. Seeing the success of this endeavor, I hope afterward I could apply a similar treatment to the definitive edition, but that’s a consideration after the map is completed.

Hi everyone! This month, FvT is celebrating its 11th anniversary! Can’t believe I’ve been working on this for over a quarter of my life now @_@. I wish I could have completed the color map by now but changes in my workflow brought a bit of chaos in the last few months, along with the general state of everything, let’s be honest. But I’ll get back to it at some point, I promise. Still, there will be a bonus picture to celebrate the occasion, as usual~

Hi folks! Fall is fast approaching, and a new FvT chapter began. I want to apologize for the lack of updates on the color island map. This summer I restructured my workflow AND took extra commissions to pad for expenses, so I just had no time to work on it. I really need to dedicate some time to this, I would like to be done this year. Everything else is going smoothly otherwise.

Hi everyone! So, a lot happened in July, I’ll try to cover it all. First, to pad the decrease in funding for the comic due to the general economical uncertainty of the world, some high tier supporter banded together to use their saved up commission token to ensure weekly page updates for, well a very long time as it is. Thank you for your unwavering support! That being said, if you do feel like contributing to the continuation of the project, even 2$ can go a long way if enough people donate~
Secondly, after working for 9 years on Grim Fate Comics, I’ve finally decided to leave for good. It was a long time coming, but I just couldn’t continue anymore. Reasons are personal and I will not elaborate here, but now I plan to focus on FvT and commissions fully. With this in mind, I’ve updated my commission process with monthly slots and a month to month breakdown of the customer list, so far October is wide open if some are interested, link to the right of the page~

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a pleasant summer. I can’t say I do so far, as one of my pet died late last month. Also, funding for the comic took a serious hit as the world continue getting shaken up. But! The commission side of my business is doing great, so it’s not all bad. The show must go on, but this month will only have 3 pages, which is welcome in a way, as I catch up on some late work I’ve accumulated when I took a break to grieve. I will continue to produce the same amount of sketch pages and bonus content as well. I think if FvT ever run out of funding completely, I’ll still continue making the sketch pages, because I want to see this story to its end one way or another. In the meantime, thank you for the continued support in these trying times, stay awesome~

Hi everyone. First and foremost, while I talked about it on some channels, I want to make a public update so everyone is aware of what’s going on: I had a heart-related situation arise in May. I’m on medication and waiting to do further tests and did some changes to my lifestyle to avoid making things worse in the meantime. This led me through an emotional rollercoaster, which prompted me to cancel a few things I wanted to do, for the sake of balancing my work and health.
I feel better now, mentally, but will try to keep my workflow balanced and avoid going overboard. This doesn’t change my commission availability or update schedule, but know that if you’re approaching with some big project or something time sensitive, I will likely have to decline for now. Pictures and short comics are still welcome. I like to believe I’ve managed to keep a good workflow since I reopened in January, clearing 5 commission per month on average, so you can use that to gauge how quickly the queue is moving if you’re considering a commission.
Finally, while June has 5 Mondays, we only have funding for 4 pages, so the 2nd of June will be skipped.
