The star fairies control the magic cave, which is the only place where fairy eggs can mature, and you have to reserve a place and depending on who you are or your element it can take years.
All the fairies in the world live on one island with limited resources. Even if unrestricted reproduction was possible, it would lead to overpopulation and starvation, forcing more fairies to go out into the monster-infested world, and get raped to death. Could easily lead to extinction for the fairies. Just ask the natives of Easter Island, a place once so lush that they could use and waste wood with abandon. Unfortunately for them and the trees, they did.
I don’t think they are near such limits, considering how nature fairies can raise effectiveness of agriculture, but yes, unrestricted reproduction would eventually force fairies to spread out from this island.
However, I think it would be GOOD. Sure, there would be lot of causalities in those expeditions, but that would just stabilize the population size … and eventually, they would SUCCEED.
I wonder…if the fairies did succeed in reproducing without the use of the magic cave would pinks be more successful since they have so much more magic than others?
A subspecies like say… something with the basic body shape of a fairy but with an oddly flat chest and instead of an opening to inject/remove eggs there is a naturally forming version of what the suit has currently provided the Queen with?!

Wonder what all the core can do.
Well so much for an uprising.
That said, I’m curious about what Tanae said. Did fairy’s have some kind of controlled breeding program?

oh. but…why? What advantage do they have by controlling the population?
I mean, Logically, you’d have an advantage. But I don’t see them using it for malicious purposes.
The magic cave can only grow 100 fairies at a time, so not everybody can use it whenever. Order and priorities have to be considered.
You may want to talk about how malicious star fairies are in their control of population with dark fairies. If you dare.
yeah. which is funny when dark fairies are best to fight nihalalks

Probably, that or they would become a kind of specialized for reproduction, like queens in insect hives.
I think that Tanae is piss by the conversation

I’m gonna be honest that’s kinda unethical… I know it’s not supposed to be known for ethics but that is a tad harsh, Those poor babies.
I’m sure if Nihallaks ever find ethic they will dissect it carefully to find out as much as they can about it.
