Must be strange when somebody 2000 years older than you looks the same age as you. I guess that’s something elves have to deal with as well.

When they say that Age is only a number, some mean it quite literately.
Some humans pretend to not know their age. Some elves literally forgot, or can’t count with so high numbers.
In some cultures, age is not measured from birth, but from the day you became an adult. I went to college with someone from Africa whose tribe did not record date or year of birth. Instead, every 10 years, all the young boys were rounded up and circumcised, and were considered to be men after that. That day was the day they celebrated each year.
Strange? If there were some species that were opposite of elves, aging incredibly rapidly, would we think it’s strange that someone 10 years older/younger without any cosmology looks similar? It’s always been normal for them, it’s always been normal for us. 🙂 –JR
Some things can be strange despite being used to them, but yeah, this wouldn’t be the case. It seems they have no experience with people changing when getting older at all.
