Seems like that should apply here, but somehow, it doesn’t.
“Somehow”? Obviously because they have something else than hammer as well – namely, magic.
No, they are Hammers, and one is a Nail.
Is Nail the name she was given by her parents, or is it a name she took is some kind of Joke. I mean earlier Nadisha called Macey Ellena, so it´s actually happening that Fairies rename themselves and the question is how many Fairies did that? Who choose their names to beginn it? They`re born fully grown able to speak and talk, are they choosing their names completely themselves?
Names are actually something discussed between the newborn and parents, which is kinda cool in itself. But because fairies have the potential to live forever, and change over time going into completely different paths or lifestyle, they can sometime choose to change their name. It’s the case with nail. She picked that name after joining the hammers because her main ability outside of healing is paralyzing or incapacitating monsters, thus “nailing” them into place so the other hammers can finish the job.
Just because they are born fully grown able to speak and talk doesn’t mean they have enough experience to chose right name.
