I like how the other handler has decided it’s more important to chase after the grunk than deal with the deadly thing in the cage.
It’s possible she didn’t realized the cage is broken.

Well they were hired to get the leech back alive. Though not sure that will work out
Glad to be back after all this time, catching up again. I notice that the leech is smarter than it seems like it ought to be. It got excited by the amount of Nihillium in Zak, but bit the grunk in order to provoke it into accidentally releasing the leech. Nice one Eldrik. Subtle.
(I also like the call-out to the movie ‘Tremors’ in the appearance of the leech…)
