yeah even though fairies hatch with an adult body and have basic knowledge implanted in their brain, they still need to mature to a certain extend after that. That’s why there can be a marked difference between a 20 years old fairy like myri and a much older fairy like Prue. But this is by no mean a law, manchilds are a thing in humans, so you can expect to see it in 500 years old fairies as well.
In humans, hormones work hard on kinda synchronizing the physical and mental development. It still doesn’t always work.
With fairies – or other long-living species, like elves, dragons, valheru or amberites – someone being teenager for several centuries is completely possible.
I wonder if Not-a-Plant is really gone, or if it will be making a surprise comeback. Or, there might be other surprises lurking in Seatown and the Nihallak camp. It’s about time for something unusual to happen at the ship.

I was going to say “Grounding an Adult?”. But then I remembered long lifespans, sooooo…I guess she’s sort of mentally a child? (relatable)

Not-a-Plant, probably. However, I do expect some development in Nihallak camp.
