There’s not a single flying transport available that can get her there nearly instantly? We did just see several a few pages ago. And a secluded spot in the mountains feels like it would need aerial assistance for supply’s given the circumstances.
The few balloons we saw are for scouting, and while yes they help with long term travel, they are not faster than just flying there. As for the isolated spot in the mountain, it’s isolated because it’s outside of the Loyalist territory, and therefore doesn’t receive any assistance or protection. In fact if they went and begged Comet to teleport them there, she would probably refuse for safety reason, and also because she’s not a taxi service.
That make’s it sound like prime territory for the Nihallaks to invade, especially being so close to they’re base. Unless they already did in a previous chapter and I just forgot about it.
I would say that it’s also important what you compare it to. Flying transport faster than walking, easy. Flying transport faster than fairy flying, not as easy to build.
And good point about taxi. Just because they have faster technology doesn’t mean they will use it for unimportant stuff.
As a thought, given she (Grain) is magically “impaired” is she an asset or a burden while fighting Nihallaks, they can’t feed on her thus is she “invisible” in that way. Given she can still fire a weapon her handicap seems beneficial in some ways, in that vein does the same apply to Amy now that she is disconnected to the HP energy?
Nihallaks would not be able detect Grain in a group of fairies due to her low magic. However, nihallak sensors are much more sensitive than that of dark forest monsters, so if she alone they can pick her up just fine
Combat wise we had seen Tanae using just phisical strenght to tear appart a nihallak. So grain could manage that… but she cant fly up to reach them. And using any magic item to boost her combat capabilities would make her easier to see on nihallak radars
Grain’s best use would be to sense and incoming attack (as she can still sense a nihallak). Otherwise the only bonus with her is that she not much of a loss if nihallaks do get her. As at best she could be just used by 298 for experiments

… they split the party.
Sidequest to the honorary member (who honestly couldnt do much in a fight against flying tentacles 😄)
Gotta ask the obvious here.

I don’t think so. However a Character question is being made for supporters this month that is about transportation

They don’t really know it is there. They more focused on the larger population locations
Also their attention was more to Dark Haven, where they felt something was “weird” (nihallaks dont know about dark magic)

I bet they end up doing it on their trip.
Hehehe

Side note – there are few fairy ranged weapons as fairoes usually resort to using magic. And most ranged weapons are fuelled by the fairy’s magic
So, she would be the ideal infiltrator (other than Zac) to sneak on board the ship to do some clandestine shenanigans?
Maybe. Hard to say how well she would do as a spy
