So that’s where the fairies who disappeared into the red zone ended up. They get used as batteries. I notice a lot of green hair; does Monolith have a preference for nature fairies? Also, that’s a lot of antennas on her hat(?); can she eavesdrop on the nihallaks radio communications?
Could she send the nihallaks radio communications that they could understand? “Hot fairies in your area who love being fucked by tentacles want to meet you now! Just 200km on a heading of 280 degrees. Don’t wait!”
You know it would work.
It’s possible nature fairies just have bigger chance to get this far. Others are stopped before they arrive here.
She probably does eavesdrop on both nihallaks and fairies. Both however should be clever enough to use encryption. And some of that could be radar, or for communicating with the forest or some monsters.
Nobody is ever clever enough to use encryption or ciphers before they discover somebody is eavesdropping. For instance, in WW 1, the Germans used codes for long distance radio communications, but didn’t for short range communications at high frequency because they didn’t know the British had radios sensitive enough to intercept them. So far, we haven’t seen any evidence the fairies even know the Nihallaks are using radio, or visa versa. Which is a shame, because the Nihallaks are basically flying smart phones.
Armagon at least already use encryption

Noone STARTS using encryption before being aware of eavesdropping. However, it’s unlikely for someone to STOP using encryption. If fairies had encryption routinely established basically from start because their technology was based on stuff from war, they would be still using it.
Nihallaks, meanwhile, are DEFINITELY using technology from war which DEFINITELY contains encryption. Now … is the encryption effective or did fairies break it during those thousands years?
I’m guessing the “Facility” was a War-jiby manufacturing plant, possibly where the Stars were also made.
War-jiby were never manufactured in traditional sense. And I would think the “Facility” was closer to research center than factory. Which doesn’t mean it wasn’t used in turning f-jibies to war-jibies or breeding more war-jibies, of course.
Getting strong Final Fantasy final boss vibes from Monolith in terms of appearance.
Yeah, the delightful tiddy meat of the dish is F-jiby. The sauce seems like FF6 “statue of the gods”, with pinch of FF3 “cloud of darkness”(shadowsprawler) and a dash of FF7 “jenova-synthesis”.
Atleast now we know where Star’s hatred of Monster’s come from.
Fair enough it must be said.
Poor star has a hatred of the monster she created…
Well, probably not created but definitely helped.
by their own admission monolith won the war for the star fairies by destroying the chaos fairies…. i dont doubt that alot of those fairies entangled in monolith are the victims of that decision. Therefore Star created the current monolith.
First, I don’t consider the cook making food I’m eating to be my creator (unless it’s, by chance, my mother doing the cooking).
Second, I don’t think the fairies entangled in the monolith are THAT old. I think those are newer addition – or replacements.
