Look at her hair, how her long straight bangs sit in front of her shoulders and fall between her breasts, and think where you’ve seen that style before. This fairy knows Star. She knows Star very well 👀 …
I assume they are saying she is one of Lucky’s parents, the light fairy side of her heritage. Granted, we don’t even know if Lucky was formed in this timeline since she can survive the end of a timeline, it is possible this light fairy never sired Lucky this time around (unless Lucky can’t go back before her birth, the extent of her time powers are not fully known to everyone at this point.) Granted, if that IS Lucky’s mother it sounds like she has been there a while but not like… a LONG LONG time given that she “isn’t fully ripe yet” and Monolith has apparently “ripened” other fairies before. So if we are assuming it is Lucky’s mom (still a big assumption) and that she might have been there for years but probably not centuries or anything (unless it takes a damn long time to ripen them) that could mean Lucky was originally born at roughly this point in the timeline since it would be pretty hard to make someone you know be born at a different time in history even with time travel powers.
We know for sure Lucky was able to interact with Nihallaks before Era ender was fired. Also, that she really must’ve been born later, because fairies didn’t existed back then. Finally, I think she specifically mentioned that her conception didn’t happened in current timeline.
I’m liking star less and less the more the Monolith speaks. God-queen of fairykind? And Star took it seriously instead of saying she shouldn’t make fun of her? That’s some serious complex of superiority here.
Hey, I was right about the Monitor’s purpose. What was she, though? And what a surprise about Star. God-Queen of fairykind? It appears she’s more than the other star fairies. Also, develop a counter to timetravel? I guess Lucky’s gotten on somebody’s nerves.
I think Star is not more than other stars, she just have a serious complex of superiority. Also, yeah, we already know Star hates Lucky. As well as anything else endangering the status quo. Which suck.
I haven’t trusted star since the fairies they rescued from that sea monster back on page 241 didn’t recognize the vtol. There is no good reason that even the mere existence of such tech would be kept secret from the general public. Even if chaos fairies somehow got their hands on one, they wouldn’t have the industrial capacity to build more, let alone produce the parts that would be needed to maintain it.
I am curious about how much the other stars know about monolith though
My only counterpoint two pages back was that we are not sure how much the other star fairies are to blame for that. It was clear for long time that the regime is evil, but you can end up with evil even with good intentions.
Only now with the Monolith it became clear that at least specifically Star is definitely evil. She might’ve meant well originally but she stepped too much over the line with her methods … thousand of years ago at least. But we are still not sure about other star fairies, they may not even KNOW about the Monolith.
Wasn’t referring to your comment from two pages ago. I got into an entire thread a while back about this same topic and people just either refused to see my point or provided counter points that meant nothing.
Not only they didn’t recognized vtol, they apparently didn’t knew what aircraft is – and it doesn’t seem it was just because they are from some small village. Yes, there is no good reason for that big amount of secret-keeping.
Sorry if I ended up dismissing your points previously. I usually tend to try explain why stuff is in the setting as is (like tech stuff not spread out evenly), which probably came of as me deflecting yoir points that stars arent best rulers.
Also guessing at the time not everything was known/some stuff was still spoilers. Sorry
happy to be helpful and again sorry i came off that way – that wasn’t my intention. If i recall i mainly couldn’t think of a way to properly explain why star society is like that other than just “because author wrote it that way” (which is not an interesting answer) and just tried best i can (and sadly i not good when talking politic stuff, even in fictional settings)
Hmmm. I somehow have the feeling this is still a trap and Star is in more danger than she knows. Monolith played the role of being haughty and let Star vent before giving in so as to not arise suspicion (if she was too eager to bow down to Star, Star might be suspicious). Star says Monolith hasn’t made much progress in the powers thing… but if Monolith is able to hide the progress she is making, she probably has multiple reasons to do so from her perspective.
I take it back; the trigger warning isn’t about (just) Star, it’s more about the other fairy. I realized there’s only one reason someone says they prefer something to be more ripe. Your opinion of Star is about to drop.

…oh dear god(s) 😳 I think I know who that light fairy is…
(Also, go Star! U tell that shitty janitor what for.)
oh? who that be?

Lucky’s tampering with the timeline has erased her origin.

Star might have been one parent https://eldrikdgt.com/fvt/qna/qna-120/
but she’s also fought with Star. https://eldrikdgt.com/fvt/qna/qna-189/
uh huh… yeah i am liking star less and less the more she speaks….
I’m still rooting for her. She’s got the best chance of anyone to save fairykind.
But who saves fairy kind from her?
No, the best chance of anyone to save fairykind will be Lucky, and it will probably involve saving FROM Star.
I’m liking star less and less the more the Monolith speaks. God-queen of fairykind? And Star took it seriously instead of saying she shouldn’t make fun of her? That’s some serious complex of superiority here.

THANK YOU! I have been saying for a while that what the star fairies are doing is the kind of shit an evil regime does but no one sees my point!
… what? Are my old comments hidden or something?
My only counterpoint two pages back was that we are not sure how much the other star fairies are to blame for that. It was clear for long time that the regime is evil, but you can end up with evil even with good intentions.

That comment from two pages ago also wasn’t my only comment about this topic. Not sure about the thread a while back, though, maybe I missed it.

Your explanations are appreciated, but yeah it did.
Still better than when someone is missing the clues in real world politics, where they can’t argue with spoilers.

again sorry about it 🙇

Yes … not sure if she was playing the role before, but Monolith is definitely playing role NOW, and is likely to cheat Star somehow.
Which may mean that they will need to deal with the Monolith now in addition to their already big problems of Nihallaks and Era Ender.
Not a trap, but she is about to take that fairy’s place. It’s the thing the chapter warning was for.
