In what way exactly? Star might crave power, but we’ve only ever seen her use it for what she thinks is the right path forward. And has (for the most part) used it to help other’s where she can.
Is she right? In this whole scenario, it’s hard to define what exactly right and wrong is at the end of the day. (which does make it a good story at the end of the day)
Gee, I wonder. She’s currently about to “plug in” to a being with a clear thirst for power, who has been stated to be adept at controlling mass amounts of different types of energy, and who is literally using dozens of fairies as batteries while this is happening.
I’m sure we’ll see shortly how wrong things could go when one of the most powerful fairies in existence is harnessed as a power source.
As for right or wrong, that is definitely up to interpretation, but the reference to her as “God-Queen” implies a scary lack of limits on what actions she can take to achieve her goal. Considering her past actions have resulted in Monolith existing and the entirety of the dark forest’s existence, she would certainly be seen as “bad” by the regular fairies on the island if they were made aware of her actions.
We don’t know the reason Monolith was created. And from the way star treat’s monster’s in general, I doubt she’d have let her exists in the first place if it wasn’t necessary.
Everything she’s done up to this point is to achieve her goals in the way She thinks is right. And of course with limited context everyone would call her wrong. But we know that were dealing with inter-dimensional time traveler’s who have (and are seeking) the mean’s to rewrite the very fabric of reality to suite they’re cause.
So yeah, a little more complicated than Good V.S. Bad.
As for how this whole scenario will play out, well see which one of these 2 is more bark than bite in the end. And history will decide who the winner is.
@Nextgener, I’m glad I’m not the only one who sympathizes with Star. Of course I don’t agree with her methods—like holding/cherishing absolute power over society (alongside the other stars), allowing this Monolith to prey on fairies, and allowing the population to stay ignorant about fairy history/technology—but I sympathize with her urge to keep society on a smooth course, to avoid crises and upheavals that could hurt a lot of people. She has good intentions and is a very charismatic figure, and that makes her interesting. To my eyes, she and Zak are the main protagonists of this story, and I want to see what they can each achieve to help the world through their own chosen methods. TLDR: I don’t want Star to die or lose her physical or mental autonomy!
Lucky openly stated that the “cause” she’s rewriting reality for is survival of fairy species. That doesn’t seem to be that bad cause to support, is it?
And Star is not supporting her basically because she believes she’s the only one who can do it. And she just say that she plans to achieve it by micromanaging everything. That only counts as good intention if you miss how crazy it is.
@Delta: “God-Emperors” usually don’t want to accept it – EXCEPT the most famous of them, Leto II Atreides, who, thanks to ability to see future, KNEW that his reign would be temporary and will actually ENSURE that noone else would be able to do the same – but crisis are NECESSARY for civilizations. Stagnation is dead and Star is already well on path of keeping the society “smooth” by denying basic freedoms to other fairies and otherwise building a tyranny, and plans to make it even worse.
Leto II Atreides was good guy. Granted, he also did the whole God-Emperor thing to SCARE people, ensuring that after he dies, they won’t allow anyone else to get such amount of power. He ruled with iron fist, basically pretending to be evil.

“Might”? She declared herself God-Queen. There is no way how she might make more obvious she craves power that her monologue few pages back.
And the way she excuses her methods is crazy.
That smile is DEFINITELY not good news for Star.
