This star and this monolith are not part of the universe anymore, but time still flow for them in an orderly manner. That mean they can perceive universal changes around them, but are not affected by it. They can remember the things that changed. But if star dies now, lucky could go back in time and try to convince monolith to stop, or teleport star away, but she would need to go back in time, and star and monolith would sense it and react to it. They are not untouchable, but any move Lucky does is now sensed by them. She could also still use her light magic on a dead star and bring her back to life, but star wouldn’t have her link anymore, like Amy.
What if Lucky went back in time and prevented Monolith from summoning Star to make them cognizant of time changes. I’m assuming that the ability to recognize Lucky’s time travel interference doesn’t extend retroactively. Though, that brings up the subject of Flynn.
When Lucky gave Flynn the boon, did she do so because Flynn remembered her from a previous encounter, and she was so happy that someone remembered her that she decided to make it permanent? Or did Flynn remembering/recognizing Lucky make her aware that she would give him a boon after that point so that he could remember, and so she did it?
Time travel interference remembrance is not retroactive, it doesn’t give star or monolith (Or lucky for that matter), prescience over future events, in relation to their current spot in the timeline. If lucky ever seem to act so, it’s because she has experience from many previous timelines. But knowledge of the future change the future, that’s how you can avoid predestination issues, and why lucky hasn’t managed to save fairykind yet.
What she did with flynn was as innocent as giving a gift to a friend you hadn’t seen in a while, but who still remembers you fondly. No grand scheme behind it. But technically, this is what caused this current chapter to occur, this was an example of how there are so many variables, that lucky cannot account for all of them when taking any action to steer the future a certain way.
Geez, Eldrik, who d’you think you’re foolin’? Monolith had NO intention of setting a safeword.
All Star needs now is to be blued and tattooed. After that loud ‘KRK’, she’s pretty much DRT. (Is this the first deliberate murder we’ve seen in FvT?)
At least now we know a viable execution method for God-Queens…

If Star dies, can Lucky undo it? Go back in time and prevent it from happening? Or will Star always be dead at this point in the time-line?

So that’s Flynn’s role in this. It was really puzzling me.
Like i said, she can kill Star now, there is just no reason to do it.
I hope Monolith explains it before Star dies…
