Ultimately, you are saving fairykind for selfish reasons :-).
I don’t want to scare you, but after finding way through current crisis … are you familiar with the term “heat death of universe”? “Always” is long time.
Even a regular light fairy wouldn’t be afraid of that. Light magic is literally the reversal of entropy. Also what Lucky is referring to I think is just that fairykind will last forever only from her perspective because she keeps traveling back in time.
Reversal of entropy, sure, but how much? I mean, how many fairies will be necessary to do enough entropy reversal to save stable piece of universe? They would either need to reverse entropy for whole star, or invent way to grow plants without any … hmmm … on second though, that shouldn’t be that hard for nature fairy.
Also, no, I’m pretty sure she DOES plan to ensure fairykind will last forever even in linear time. Otherwise, she would be already done.
Lucky wants what we all want: companionship, stability, comfort, enjoyment, but she has to plan for those things on a much longer timescale than we do. She must ensure her own happiness for thousands of lifetimes, not just one, and that requires some drastic measures.
Also! She refers to Star as “a parent.” 🤨 Does this confirm that Star is Lucky’s parent? Or perhaps Ominae’s? Or both?
Yup. She won’t be always happy, but she’s trying to ensure the time she’s happy isn’t negligible compared to the time she will spent alone and unhappy.
Even if literal, it technically it only confirms that Star was someone’s parent before death. It may be someone who won’t be born for another thousand years. Or it may be metaphor.

Ah good point! re:Star. The parentage mystery continues
