Just imagine: cross between Mawhive and magic cave. Monster which can move through terrain, eating plants for matter, containing fairies for generation of energy and incubating several fairy eggs, but still capable of reproducing itself. The fairies would take turn powering it, mostly the ones providing the eggs but also their friends and there will likely be volunteers as well.
I mean, sure, alternatively they can go the boring route and just have children as most species, but this will scale up better than magic caves, be less vulnerable and leave their reproduction unique.
Also, Star would totally approve that project if there will be even just little chance it will work.
The Nihillium would likely cause mutations, not to mention the issue with them traveling around and that possibly endangering the occupants. That and the fact that without a high plain energy link it might want to suck the life out of the developing fairies if it gets low on magic which I imagine would keep most any sane fairy from wanting to use it.
Great response, NewWizKid. I also think the mawhive’s energy drain couldn’t be properly controled, otherwise this would’ve been done. Still…
Great thought, HKMaly. Maybe if that isn’t part of the “good future” the author has planned, it can be one of Lucky’s failed attempts at rewriting history, maybe as a side story. How’s that sound, Author? –JR
P.S. The clothes Star is wearing in panels 1 and 2 are different? Panel 1 definitely isn’t short sleeve like 2.
I think it can be controlled with enough effort. Basically, it wasn’t done yet because it needs more work than what they tried. It would require to reprogram the nihillium INSIDE the mawhive.
Side stories are always a possibility. As for the clothing. Panel 1 is synched to the appearance the character had in the comic at that time, vs panel 2 which is a memory of past events.

Wait, I got it! Future of Fairies society!
