I wondered who the black haired fairy is, so I did a quick review of Ominae. I wonder if someone will suggest using the dark fairies “nuclear” option? https://eldrikdgt.com/fvt/qna/qna-103/
The anti-magic field is powered by the ship, so presumably it also uses energy when active. Could the dark faires’ dark magic be used to speed up the power drain, or would the magic be completely cancelled by the field with no effect?
Dark fairies have the ability to drain energy, so they would be clashing with the field, in a way, and the moment the field is off, they could replenish their power by draining energy from their surrounding. Powerful dark fairies could replenish themselves faster than the field and remain operational within it. Dark magic is also very deadly, so they could probably destroy the generator fairly quickly.
Wow. It’s so…generically formal.
I don’t know why, but whenever I hear the word Council in a fantasy, my mind immediately goes to high podiums and imposing cloaks.
Also, Star Fairy’s can Read Minds!? I thought they’re technological abilities were impressive enough. But they’re also Psychic? This race is starting to feel a little OP.
lol it’s only the star fairies tho. We’ve seen them use that power in previous pages, such as page 353.
As for the formality, my take is that they are sisters, and I know if I had to meet semi-regularly with my family, I wouldn’t want to bother with all the ceremonial bs, especially after 5000 years of it.
Whole race feeling OP? Compared to who, Protoss? These fairies are nowhere near the most powerful fairies in webcomics. Consider DMFA, Chasing the Sunset, Sorcery 101 (although those are likely demons), El Goonish Shive (although they call themselves immortals).
And, well … Irish’s “Tuatha Dé Danann” were sometimes considered fairies. Other times, gods.
i think they meant the star fairies from this comic, compared to the other fairies (within this comic). hahahhaa
