Yeah the antenna literally are their ears basically. The whole “hair covers the space where the ears would be” is a common thing for any sort of catgirl or humanoid character that has non-human ears since having two sets of ears would be weird but seeing something so close to human without the ears can be jarring. So you cover that space with hair to sidestep the issue.
yep. only realized the no ears thing when i saw fairy with glasses (Lilly) and then thought “wait… do they have ears where glasses would be mounted on?”
though as Eldrik had mentioned long ago, the missing ears don’t cause such a big uncanny valley effect
