I know that some of the people who follow this webcomic? Manga? It doesn’t matter that they are there for the sex, the other part is there for the story and since I read and reread the story many times I realized that there was a concept of the universe that I I love it but I keep wondering if I’m the only one who has an account and loves this concept, The concept in question is: the fact that nihillium can transform animals and plants into very similar beings physically and /or mentally to the Nihallaks concretely there are only three times in this work (for the moment) where we have seen this (I exclude the entries of the dark forest because I find that the monsters that we see there do not doesn’t look enough like the Nihallaks) the sea monster, not-a-plants and the mutant leech personally every time I see this scene again I start to carefully observe the points these monsters have in common with the Nihalllaks and it fascinates me still as much as the first time really am I the only one to whom it has such an effect?!
You are correct about nihillium turning creatures to be more like nihallaks (tentacles, plating, extra eyes…)
The nihillium that corrupts creatures into monsters comes from nihalalks that were killed if more than 5000 years ago. When that nihillium is reactivated it still has the programing to “be a nihallak”. But the coding is damaged and as such they trying their best to carry out tgeir programing. Hence why stuff mutates differently

Which means that nihillium programmed differently would transform creatures in different way.
…
… I wonder if nihillium from fairies can mutate creatures to be more like fairies.
As it is now it can’t do that. Fairy nihillium was prigrammed to be stable and not to expand as like original programing
Bit more info about nihillium can be found on the nihalalk anatomy bonus art
