Thanks! It’s not that much tbh, regular manga series can have like 10 000+ pages, but my production rate is slow, sadly. I have an ending in mind, but I have no clue how much time or how many pages it’ll take me to get there.
Yeah, but they’re also the most intimidating to get into for that reason. It’s the difference between asking someone to read something with a good 1’000-2’000 pages of story.
Considering we are still on the beginning of the story, I think it can easily be another 600 without feeling too long. Also, there is another option: what about making TWO (or even more) stories in same universe? Sure, it’s possible that the ending will really solve all dangling plot threads (but not in 600 pages IMHO), but maybe it would make more sense to leave something for next story.
Making another story in the same universe is always best option for a series IMO. After it’s finished of course.
2 story’s running parallel to each other just causes more complication (and work) in the long run.
There are complication’s with running a story in the same universe of course. Continuity being one of the hardest thing’s to get down with alot of lore running through it. But as long as your good at keeping track of everything, and Feel like making a continuation (very important) then they tend to work out well in the end.
The 1 type of continuity that rarely works are prequels. For a Multitude of reasons, working on story that happened before the event’s the current one makes it less interesting, because you already know how the main context of the story ends. Also your restricted by thing’s that can happen, rather than what you can think up.
Not a super big problem, since the previous generation in the series was more technologically advanced. But the bigger problem would obviously be…well we all know there’s no happy ending there for sure.
If I still have the will to do more fvt after the main story end, I was thinking of doing short stories focused on particular characters, scattered within the timeline. Could have a short story about the fairy war, a short story about how Macey met each of the Hammers, a short story about Holly’s past, or that time Irah was in the fairy military, etc. Because the main story is about two races and not two character, I get A TON of characters to play with once I’m done with the main story.
What doesn’t work are DIRECT prequels. Unless they are already planned out when you make the main story, making prequel which basically ends when main story starts is very hard and may not work well even if done well. Look at Star Wars III for example.
However, if the prequel happens centuries before the main story, you have lot of options. Sure, we will know how it will end in general terms, but there will be lot of details left to specify. And the story can be written so it feels like having happy ending even if the situation gets worse in general terms. Silmarillion is not really affected by the fact that we know it leads to Hobbit and Lord of the Rings eventually …
I’ve been hoping Zak would fashion some powerful tit suckers, sorta like Star was experiencing around page 239 and work over Edrei good and hard. Get a little payback on her cheeky tree flight and dom personality, and make her cum her brains out with a little mix of pain and pleasure.
I hope this one has a happy ending for fairies and nihallaks alike, though I can’t see consensual coexistence happening unless they figure out how to reprogram nihilium.
Fairies DO know how to reprogram nihillium. And I suspect Nihallaks knows as well, if not better. They just don’t WANT to.
However, the explanation how peacefull coexistence is unlikely holds. As long as the factions will be defined by species, one of the species will get the short stick.
I suspect that the ending will be good for fairies and Zak, and rest of Nihallaks will end badly. But not necessarily “all will die” badly.

Gratz! Here’s too…well I was gonna say 600 more. But I do like when a story has ending.

Or One Piece.

Sadly due to Eldrik being overworked and having to do other projects, he unable to do two stories withing FvT at once.
Also if he had the time and funding they would most likely focus on pumping out FvT pages
I didn’t meant at once, I meant second story after the first.

Now That’s a good idea. I’d Totally be down for That.
I can totally see LONG story about fairy war. But even short one will be interesting. Definitely looking forward to that.
And, obviously, I would like to see some story about creation of fairies.
