I don’t plan to delve into the time travel mechanics too much in the main comic, because it would almost require a full chapter to explain, and a lot of readers wouldn’t care.
Simply know that I made it so it’s paradox-free within the fvt universe’s rules, I hate when movies and shows just wave off the nonsense and plot holes. I might explain it into more details in the bonus content later, when it’s appropriate.
Looking forward to it. I’m sorry I’m not good enough in physic to double-check your calculations.
I get the feeling we’ll end up following the “new” timeline solely (that is identical in every way except these two will be immune to Lucky’s timeline stuff) but I do sort of wonder what will happen in the old timeline since that key difference will likely be significant.
Lucky explain and explore some of the timeline shenanigans in the characters question, and will eventually do so officially in the comic at a later point, but yeah, it’s basically a lot of “what if this had happened”, but it’s important to understand that there are no ongoing parallel timelines. There is only a single timeline going at all time, and when a time traveler move about, it create a new timeline that overwrite the old one. Think of it like you playing a RPG, making a bad choice, reloading your save, making the right choice and then overwriting your save. You remember what happened in that bad save, but you can’t access it anymore, all you could do to recreate it is reload an even older save and redo the same “bad” choices.
